UNILAB - Run United 2 (RUNRIO)

My runningmates - (left to right)  Derek, Joseph, Boss Don, Renan, Shy, Shane, Vivian, Boss Drew & yours truly :)
Recently I've joined another 10k Run organized by my favorite race-organizer, RUNRIO. It was the leg 2 of the UNILAB Run United happened last Aug 21, 2011 again at the Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. There were 10 of us that signed up on this event out of 14,000 other participants.
It's really mind-boggling how Runrio can organize this race with that huge number of runners not to mention in different race categories starting from 500m (for kids), 3K, 5K, 10K up to 21K.
And as expected just like any other Runrio events, the race went very smoothly (at least in my opinion) - the hydration tents, race marshalls, traffic flow, banana and foam stations (for 21K), loot bags claiming stations, giveaways, finishers' kits, medals and shirts were all well-supplied and well-distributed.
I finished the race at 1:16:03 as you can see on the image below which I got from http://results.bazumedia.com/event/results/event/ru22011

I cant wait to sign up for the UNILAB - Run United 3, coming this November 2011. Hope to see you there!

NBA Fit Run 2011 - RUNRIO (at BGC)

So here's my most favorite singlet so far... :)
NBA Fit 2011 Singlet
The NBA Fit Run 2011 was primarily sponsored by Air21. Held last Aug 7 at Highstreet, Bonifacio Global City. The event had pushed through even though it rained cats and dogs earlier that morning that I almost convinced myself not to run because it was really tempting to just stay in bed. But since I got really addicted I thought "sayang naman.."
So far, that was the most challenging run I've ever had. The experience was like a torture, the kind of thing wherein towards the end of the race you kind of begin to wonder why you have to do it to yourself (LOL). To give you a background of that experience, the streets were all slippery, I was afraid that I might slip and get an injury. The wind was strong it was like it was stopping me from running, not to mention it was also drizzling all throughout, my running shoes got wet in the inside and I started out the race really late. The gunstart for the 10K category was at 5:20AM and I started my own gunstart at 5:56AM. What an experience! The silver lining was that I wasn't the only one who was late. There were 5 of us that signed up and all of us began the race at our own time (lol).

So after the race, again, we claimed our loot bags and we saw  Erik Spoelstra - the coach of Miami Heat if I'm not mistaken, sorry not much of a basketball fan. If it's about lawn tennis though, you can ask me anything ")

Here's us, my boss took this pic. See the loot bag Joseph (left) was holding, well, it wasn't that good!
